Identifying artists & markets ahead of the curve
Sourcing contemporary art works by Nina van Heuveln
Heuv Art is an art advisory firm, founded by Nina van Heuveln in 2016, specialising in sourcing contemporary artworks by emerging artists.
Amsterdam, where Heuv Art is based, is a city with well known post-graduate art academies and therefore many up and coming international artists live and work in the city. Nina thinks it is important to stimulate the art market by introducing new emerging talent to the international art world. With a proven record in identifying emerging artists ahead on the curve, Nina sources top quality works for her clients.
Nina works with private, institutional and corporate clients on building collections, exhibition programs and special projects. She provides research and professional advice regarding collection management, installation, shipping and framing services. Besides her advisory role in purchasing art, Nina also organises art talks, tours and other art related events.
With an expertise in Modern and Contemporary Art, Nina works closely with her clients to understand their objectives, tastes, interests and budget requirements. Nina makes sure each client receives personalized attention and selects the works with the best fit for them.
In 2008 Nina participated The John Hall Venice Course, a pre-university course with lectures and visits to several museums and (private) art collections in London, Venice, Florence and Rome. It was because of these visits that Nina made her decision to read History of Art.
“With her knowledge and enthusiasm Nina inspires you to explore the world of art & culture”
Stephanie van Rappard, Manager & Initiator of the Young Patrons Circle of Dutch National Opera & Ballet
During her studies she became a tour guide for the Six Collection, an exquisite small museum located in a private house of the Dutch aristocratic Six family. After studying History of Art at the University of Amsterdam, Nina worked at some contemporary art galleries such as Boetzelaer|Nispen, GRIMM and Rademakers Gallery. Her experience with the international secondary art market at Christie’s and Wedel Art in London were decisive in setting up her own firm in Amsterdam.
“Nina has a good creative eye and is fun to work with”
Cato van Ee, Dutch topmodel
Nina is driven to visit many ‘art related places’ such as art museums, art galleries, art fairs, art academies and artists’ studios and has a wide network within these places. Nina currently sits on the committee of Van Loon 100 (Museum van Loon), the Steering Commitee of the Young Patrons Circle of Dutch National Opera & Ballet and is a member of Young Stedelijk (Stedelijk Museum). As well as doing their public relations, Nina also organises events for the Young Collectors Circle in Amsterdam – a platform for emerging art collectors.
